What is Pediatric Dentistry?
A Pediatric dentist focuses on the oral health of young people. Training to become a pediatric dentist includes a four-year dental school curriculum and two to three additional years of pediatric focused training. This specialized program of study and hands-on experience has prepared us to meet the needs of infants, children, and adolescents, including those with special health care needs.

As a pediatric dentist we provide comprehensive care to infants, children, adolescents, and people with a variety of special needs. A few of the services that we provide include:

• Exams
• Preventive care (including cleanings, x-rays as indicated, fluoride treatment, sealants)
• Restorations (fillings and crowns)
• Extractions
• Space maintenance
• Evaluation of growth and development
• Treatment of oral habits such as thumb sucking, pacifier use, or grinding
• Sedation dentistry
